Frostwire uses the java for Mac OS X release 5 environment to work properly, so the only thing you my frustrated friends have to do to get out of this nerve-crushing problem is to download the newest release Java directly from software update.
This problem may apply to another java applications like limewire, acqlite, acquisition, etc.
